Safety & Usage Guide

At Twistedlily, we take pride in the purity and potency of our oils. Because our products are highly concentrated botanical blends, we ask that you follow these safety guidelines to ensure the best experience.

1. Skin Patch Test (Required)

Before using any of our perfume or essential oils for the first time, you must perform a patch test:

  • Apply a small drop of the oil to the inside of your wrist or elbow.

  • Wait 24 hours to check for any redness, itching, or irritation.

  • If a reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately and wash the area with mild soap and water.

2. External Use Only

  • Our oils are designed for topical application and aromatherapy only.

  • Never ingest our oils. They are highly concentrated and can be toxic if swallowed.

  • Keep away from the eyes, inner ears, and sensitive mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with a carrier oil (like coconut or olive oil) or cool water.

3. Pregnancy and Medical Conditions

  • If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, please consult your physician before using essential oils.

  • Certain oils (like Rosemary or Clary Sage) are not recommended for use during pregnancy.

4. Storage & Shelf Life

  • Keep Out of Reach of Children and Pets: Concentrated oils can be dangerous if mishandled by little ones or animals.

  • Store in a Cool, Dark Place: To maintain the integrity and scent of the oils, keep the bottles away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. Always ensure the cap is tightened after use to prevent oxidation.

5. Photosensitivity

  • Some citrus-based oils (like Lemon, Bergamot, or Orange) may cause skin sensitivity when exposed to direct sunlight. Avoid sun exposure or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying these specific oils to the skin.

6. Disclaimer
